Conor Sweeney is hopeful that Tipperary's run to the All-Ireland SFC semi-final will encourage some of their players to return to the fold.

The Premier County had to cope with the loss of more than ten players this season but strung together a magnificent run despite this massive exodus of talent.

Attacking ace Sweeney notes that the trend might now reverse: "If ever there was an incentive for them to come back it's what we've achieved this year," the Ballyporeen clubman tells The Irish Examiner.

"Look, the lads will have to make up their own minds. We've an open door for anyone. We'll take anyone. Our panel isn't the biggest. We need everyone we can and we'll be starting from scratch again next year so hopefully there might be a few more places for competition."
