Peter Acheson has revealed that he played in yesterday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final with a broken hand.

The Tipperary captain told Newstalk after his side's fairytale year ended with a five-point defeat to Mayo: "I wasn't too happy about today to be honest. I actually broke my hand during the week, playing with a heavy enough injection.

"I wasn't too happy with my performance today, but the lads were brilliant and it was just a pity we couldn't do it."

The Moyle Rovers midfielder has also confirmed that he is heading to Dubai and won't be available for selection next year.
