The GAAmbler: Ruthless Mayo to show no mercy

Another superb weekend of betting last weekend for the GAAmbler landing 3/4 of our bets, leaving us with an extremely healthy points total after two weeks of +16.39 points.

Meaning if you had backed all our bets in singles with a 10 pound stake you would be sitting pretty with 163 pounds profit in your back pocket.

On to this weekend's action and we have two selections from the Munster and Connacht provincial football championships.

First up we preview the Mayo/London game which takes place tomorrow afternoon in Ruislip.

In 2013 when Mayo last made the journey to the English capital they received an almighty scare and scraped past London after extra time.

Interestingly, only three Mayo and two London players who started that day take the field at the start of the game tomorrow, but I'm sure that day's events will be remembered by management and players alike and they will have been referenced many times this past week.

Since then Mayo have managed to win every game they have played in the Connacht championship, and it this experience which I believe will have the Mayo team on high alert.

Looking at both teams form this year Mayo started slow in the league but improved in almost every outing, whereas London were consistently poor throughout the league, managing one win and conceding 14 goals, by far the most goals in the league as well as only registering only four themselves.

This leads me to our NAP this weekend, which is Mayo to be the only team to score a goal at 4/6 with Paddy Power with a four point stake.

I believe that Mayo will certainly have the fire power and quality to score at least one goal, especially considering London's leaky defence to date.

They should also have the correct levels of focus and quality in defense to ensure they don't concede a goal against a team with 7 championship starters and missing their star forward Lorcan Mulvey.

Our second tip for this weekend is Clare -2.5 against Limerick at 8/11 with Bet 365 with a three point stake.

This is a coming together of two teams who, in my opinion, are at opposite end of the form book.

Limerick had quite an unlucky league having only managed one win on the opening day, but that was as good as it got for them as they did push a number of teams close, but never registered a further point.

During the week they also lost their captain Ian Corbett and midfielder Tom Lee due to a registration issue, losing these two players won't have helped their cause.

Clare, on the other hand, are flying and have been the most impressive team this year to date. With the mercurial Gary Brennan and the effervescent David Turbidy they have two players of real star quality and I believe that the momentum they have acquired throughout the National League should be enough to go at least one point better than their two point victory against the same side in last year's Munster championship.

Finally, make sure to follow our twitter page @TheGAAmbler1 where we will be posting up some more tips throughout the weekend.
