Tipperary manager Michael Ryan has set his first goal for the championship season and that is to win the Munster title.

The Premier County sent out a warning to their rivals when brushing aside the challenge of albeit a poor Cork side last Sunday.

However, they are one step closer to their goal as they now face Limerick in the semi-final and Ryan has made no secret of his desire to win the provincial title.

Speaking to the Tipperary Star he said: "A win in the Munster championship was essential for us. We want to get the most we can from this Munster championship including getting to the final and winning the final. We are very open about what our aims are here.

"I expect a titanic struggle with Limerick. They will have no fears of coming to Thurles whatsoever but nonetheless we have a lot of respect for them. A game under our belts will be beneficial but it will need to be."
