Tipperary talisman Seamus Callanan will miss Saturday's NHL Division 1A opener against Dublin.

The Drom & Inch ace has been ruled out of the Semple Stadium clash with a fractured finger and is also a major doubt for the second-round trip to Kilkenny on February 21st.

In addition to the 2015 Hurler of the Year nominee, manager Michael Ryan is also keeping close tabs on Niall O'Meara and Sean Curran, both of whom are recovering from hamstring injuries.
