Browne: if we had a full team we'd win

Former Tipperary great Declan Browne

Injury robs Tipperary of the services Steven O'Brien, Ian Fahey and George Hannigan against Tyrone today.

But, speaking to The Irish Independent, two time Premier County All-Star Declan Browne insists Peter Creedon's charges are still in with a great shout of lowering the Red Hand colours.

"It will be interesting to see how we adapt with the lads gone," Browne remarked.

"You'd be hopeful that the lads coming in will be able to do the same job.

"Steven is a huge loss and when George went off against Kerry, we fell apart."

The Moyle Rovers clubman continued: "If we had a full team I'd say we'd win. That's not being tongue in cheek - that's genuine.

"Obviously people are saying that Tyrone are on the slide but if Tipp took them out, it would be a savage win for our progress.

"Hopefully, after the U-21 final, we know what kind of game we're facing as well.

"I don't think we'll be naive going into it and we'll meet it head on."
