McGeever: we're progressing well

July 03, 2015

Tipperary minor manager Charlie McGeever feels that his side have a great chance against Kerry in the Munster MFC final on Sunday.

The Kingdom are making their fourth consecutive appearance in the provincial final at this level and they are seeking their third title in a row.

Kerry stopped Tipperary from achieving that goal in 2013 and McGeever told the Tipperary Star that they were hoping to do likewise this weekend.

"I suppose the fact that we have been in those finals is the real bonus for us. We have been trying to provide players with the opportunity to play in major games and to give them vital experience so that we can contribute to the senior team in years to come," said McGeever.

"We have been achieving that and with a Munster final and All-Ireland quarterfinal to play in, this current bunch are progressing well. We'll have a right go at Kerry on Sunday and we're really looking forward to it."
