Limerick will face Cork in the Munster IHC final on July 8 after easing to victory over Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds.

Captain Willie Griffin and Tom Morrissey scored 1-8 between them against a disappointing Tipp side for whom 2011 All-Ireland minor winning captain Liam McGrath top-scored with 1-5.

The home side laid the foundations for their win in the opening 10 minutes when they raced into a 0-6 to 0-0 lead playing against the wind. They went on to lead by 1-10 to 0-7 at the break with senior panellist Morrissey finding the net late in the half.

The Treaty County surged 11 points clear on the restart before Kieran Morris and McGrath pulled back goals for the losers.
