Tipp suffer another injury setback

Tipperary's Kieran Bergin. INPHO

Kieran Bergin is out of Tipperary's Allianz Hurling League semi-final against Waterford next Sunday.

Bergin suffered a broken bone in his hand whilst playing for his club Killenaule in their 0-14 to 0-8 victory over Eire Og, Annacarty in the Tipperary SHC yesterday. The midfielder had only just returned from an ankle injury.

The news comes after Young Hurler of the Year Cathal Barrett suffered a shoulder injury during last week's warm-weather training camp in Spain.

Tipp are already planning for the semi-final without Seamus Callanan after the star forward decided not to appeal the red card he received in the quarter-final win over Offaly to the Central Appeals Committee.
