John Devane is hopeful that Thurles CBS can claim their eighth Dr Harty Cup success this weekend.

The famed Tipperary second-level nursery are due to face St Francis, Rochestown in the final at Mallow on Saturday afternoon and team mentor Devane is confident that they will deliver a performance on the day:

"Rochestown are a fine team and we know that it will take a huge effort on our part to overcome them," he told The Tipperary Star.

"We will have to be better than we have been so far this campaign, but that's the great thing about finals - ir brings out the best in players.

"We hope that we can have our noses in front at the final whistle and we are looking forward to the game which is always a positive way to go into finals. The pitch is fast and that might just suit us as well."
