Clonmel Og have lost their senior football status and will contest the 2015 Tipperary IFC.

The relegation play-off was played at New Inn on Sunday and Moycarkey / Borris scored a three-point victory, 0-11 to 0-8, to send Clonmel Og back to the middle grade after five years in the senior competition.

The losers clipped over the first two points via Johnny Cagney frees but trailed by one at the interval and went 20 minutes without a score following the restart.

Realistically, they were never going to win under those circumstances.

Moycarkey / Borris are still not assured of senior football themselves for 2015. They face Fethard in a winner-takes-all relegation play-off this weekend.
