Refreshingly, Sarsfields selector Paddy McCormack had no complaints after the Tipp champions' Munster club championship exit.
Fourteen-man Thurles were beaten by Clare champions Cratloe in Ennis on Sunday and former Tipp minor and U21 coach McCormack was magnanimous in defeat:
"Fair play to our players because it has been a long six weeks and for the county men it has been a long eleven weeks," he says in The Tipperary Star.
"Fair play to Cratloe as well; they have been out for the last twelve weeks. On the day, we have no complaints.
"Naturally it was going to be a difficult game to play 15-a-side but to play with 14 was always going to be even more difficult. Our plans had to change straight away and we tried to do that."
