Manager Eamon O'Shea is delighted with the changes that will be made to the Tipperary senior hurling backroom team in 2015 and 2016.

O'Shea is pleased that his selector Michael Ryan has been chosen to replace him in the hotseat at the end of the 2015 campaign and is also happy to welcome 2010 All-Ireland winner Declan Fanning on board as a selector for the coming season.

"This is really good for our set-up. I've been an admirer of Declan for a long time. He was a fantastic player and leader for Tipperary," he commented on Tipp FM.

"He'll bring a new dimension to our set-up and he epitomises everything that's good in Tipperary in terms of his approach to the game. And he knows our system which is really critical and he knows how we think about things.

"I'm delighted with what the board is proposing. It will allow what we've been doing for the last number of years to continue. You have to have both continuity and change for any successful team.

"I think that'll happen over the next couple of years but we have a strong belief within our squad."
