Aidan McCormack came to Thurles Sarsfields' rescue when scoring a long range pointed free to give them a 0-20 to 0-19 extra-time victory over Eire Og, Nenagh in the Tipperary SHC quarter-final yesterday.
The teams finished level on 0-14 points apiece after 60 minutes but McCormack had the final say to send Thurles into a semi-final clash against Templederry Kenyons next Sunday at Semple Stadium.
Templederry scored a surprise 0-24 to 0-17 success over Burgess.
Adrian and Gearoid Ryan scored 0-8 and 0-5 respectively for the winners.
In the other semi-final, Loughmore-Castleiney will put their title on the line against Mullinahone at Semple Stadium on Sunday.
