Hayes' Hotel Thurles
Fethard native Jack Halley has been identified as the new owner of the hotel in which the GAA was founded in 1884.
Halley, who has been living and working in London for several years in the hospitality sector, paid €650,000 for Hayes Hotel in Thurles yesterday at the Allsop Space Auction in Dublin.
Speaking to Tipp FM this morning, he outlined his plans to restore the hotel to its former glory.
