The GAA is expected to reduce its ticket prices for the All-Ireland hurling final replay at Croke Park on Saturday, September 27.

This is the third year-in-a-row that the showpiece game has gone to a replay, with prices for stand tickets having been reduced from €80 to €50 in the past two years. Needless to say, Kilkenny and Tipperary supporters are hopeful that the GAA will repeat that gesture this year.

As was the case last year, the replay cannot take place on the last Sunday of September because that slot is already taken by the All-Ireland ladies football finals.

Today's pulsating draw produced 54 scores and was the highest scoring final since the 1970 decider between Cork and Wexford which the Rebels won on a 6-21 to 5-10 scoreline. And that was played over 80 minutes.
