Cillian O'Connor's haul of 1-8 in the drawn All-Ireland semi-final makes him the man to beat in the race to be the top scoring footballer of championship 2014.

The Mayo man now leads the way by an impressive eight points and crucially is 16 clear of his nearest rival still left in the competition, Kerry's James O'Donoghue (2-18). Both players are averaging eight points per game, with O'Connor playing five matches to the Kerry's ace's three.

O'Donoghue is the top scorer from play with 2-16 excluding placed balls.

Overall Fermanagh's Sean Quigley has the highest average score per game so far with 11.5.

Quigley has four goals to his name, as does Meath's Michael Newman.

The highest individual game tally so far belongs to Quigley (2-8 v Laois).
