Eamon O'Shea says Tipperary must improve on their performance against Cork if they're to beat Kilkenny in the All-Ireland SHC final.

"I don't think we played to a degree of fluidity and the lads are disappointed with that," the manager said on Sky Sports following Tipp's 2-18 to 1-11 victory.

"I don't think we did actually (play well) during the game so I think we're not at the level yet."

The knives were out for O'Shea following Tipperary's Munster SHC exit at the hands of Limerick, but his players have responded magnificently since then to put themselves within touching distance of the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

"It's a great testimony to their belief in themselves and their belief in the system we have that's been there since Liam Sheedy was there (as manager)," the 2010 All-Ireland winning coach continued.

"They got their rewards today. They worked very hard - I don't think it was too sluggish. 'Bonnar' Maher played with an injury for most of the game. For me, he was outstanding, typifying what Tipp's spirit is about, and I think the rest of the players responded at half-time into giving a performance for him."
