TIPPERARY U12 DEVELOPMENTAL BLITZ
On a damp and windy April 12th Tipperary Ladies Football held a developmental football blitz in Moyle Rovers GAA Club, Clonmel. 13 clubs participated in the blitz and some clubs had two teams so there was approximately twenty teams in attendance. The teams were split into three groups and each team had a minimum of five games each. Thanks to Development Officer, Ed Burke who organised the event and ensured that it ran smoothly.

With a focus on development, participation and no scoring keeping each player gained skill and confidence on the field. Thanks to all the players and mentors who took part in the blitz. A special mention goes to Moyle Rovers who gave us use of their excellent sport facilities for the day.

PRIMARY SCHOOL COACHING
Last January Tipperary Ladies County Board announced an initiative to provide Primary School Coaching to Schools in conjunction with the clubs. Twelve weeks training was to be provided to the Primary School, the County Board was offering the first six weeks and the club would then provide the other six weeks. Training was to be given by Derry Peters, 2013 Tipperary Ladies Football Coach.

Nine clubs availed of this initiative with fifteen schools receiving the training as a result. Most schools have completed the training but a few remain ongoing. The list of clubs & schools are as follows: Moyne-Templetuohy Club (Moyne and Templetuohy), Templemore Club (Templemore), Moyle Rovers Club (Ratheevan, Lisronagh and Powerstown), Ardfinnan Club (Ardfinnan and Grange), Cappawhite Club (Donaskeagh, Ayle & Cappawhite), Boherlahan Club (Boherlahan), Fethard (Fethard), Aherlow (Lisberane), Clerihan (Clerihan).

Clubs are already reporting an increase in interest and numbers and are looking forward to the coming year. Thanks to the schools who welcomed Derry Peters and his coaching expertise. Well done to all the clubs for availing of this.
