Vice-captain Brendan Maher was reasonably pleased with Tipperary's league final performance.
Even though they lost by two points to Kilkenny at Nowlan Park on Sunday, Maher feels that they can take more from this defeat than from their comfortable wins over Clare and Dublin in the previous rounds:
"In our last two outings we weren't really tested the way we wanted to be - but that was a ferocious battle," the Tipp midfielder notes in The Irish Daily Mirror.
"We were happy with the way we battled and obviously there were negatives there as well.
"We didn't create enough goal threat and we didn't push on when we got to within two points.
"We'll have to try to take the positives and build on them. It's about moving forwards from here, getting out on the field again on Tuesday night and working hard."
