Tipperary hurling coach Darragh Egan says the Premier County forwards are being encouraged to rack up big totals.
Tipp have hit huge tallies in their three Munster SHC outings to date in 2019 – 2-28, 2-30 and 3-21 – and Egan confirms that it’s something they’ve been working on:
“It’s a big focus to utilise our shooters. We’ll continue to do that,” the Kildangan clubman told The Irish Sun. “We’re not going to get everything our own way in certain games and we may not hit 30 points on any given day — but that’s our target.
“We’ve some top-class shooters in our team. We’ve lads who can pick off points from 70 or 80 yards and, more importantly, we’ve lads who can do it from 30 or 40 yards.”Tweet
