Two Tipperary SHC medals were stolen during a burglary in Shinrone, Co. Offaly last Wednesday.

According to the Offaly Express website, the medals are from 1975 and '76 when Moneygall were back-to-back champions, and hold great sentimental value to the owner. A quantity of jewellery was also stolen.

Gardia in Birr are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between 11am and 8pm on Wednesday to come forward.
