"Being sent to the stand is worrying for himself, his backroom team and his players"

Lar Corbett says Brian Cody's sending-off during the Walsh Cup final was a worrying development for the Cats.

The legendary Black & Amber manager was sent to the stands by referee John O'Brien for complaining to a linesman after Richie Reid had been red-carded for interfering with an opponent's helmet in the 39th-minute of the tempestuous clash with neighbours Wexford last month.

"He has a high level of aggression on the sideline," Corbett notes in The Irish Mirror. "But I think it's after raising another bit, and being sent to the stand is a worrying thing for maybe himself, his backroom team and his players."

Corbett adds that he's really looking forward to seeing how the Cats fare in 2018: "I remember they were questioned a few years ago and they came back and won a few All-Irelands after. But I think there's a bigger question mark this year and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I can't wait."
