There were quarter-final wins for Our Lady's Templemore, Midleton CBS, Ardscoil Ris and Christian Brothers College, Cork in the Harty Cup today.

Holders Our Lady's Templemore scraped over the challenge of competition new comers John The Baptist Hotel.

It finished 1-14 to 0-16 in favour of the Tipperary school in Dundrum.

Midleton CBS have qualified for the semi-final stage for the second year running after edging out Thurles CBS on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-11 in Clonmel.

Ardscoil Ris, meanwhile, secured a convincing 3-10 to 1-5 last eight victory over Gaelcholaiste Mhuire AG at Charleville while Christian Brothers College, Cork progressed thanks to a 1-17 to 1-13 victory over St Colman's in Mallow.
