What is the story with David Kelly, when is he available to play? Surely Colm Mc Gee deserved a starting place against Antrim? Stephen Coen needs to find his scoring boots pronto.

Not sure how anyone can argue that the last free should not have been a free. It was a blatant throw of the ball, as soon as the Sligo man did it I said to the brother - can't believe he'd be so stupid, ref has to give a free. It was needless and blatant. Thank God for it.

2 dissapointing results for sligo over the weekend.both senior and u 21 teams threw away games they should have won.this is the most dissapointing aspect.similarly in both games the forwards failed to perform for most of the game.in the u 21 vs game westmeath the sligo corner backs were excellent.but the fullback was found wanting.the corner backs gave a reasonable performance in the senior game.
this shows a lack of quality fullbacks in the county at all levels and we need to find a solution to this problem
the similarities between the nature of the games the performance and the result are quite amazing and show the trend of sligo football at hte minute.i do however tip both teams to come back strong and win there next games.

It was a game i taught we could have won but i taught a draw would probably have been a fair result. People were giving out about the ref for the last free against charlie but i would be askin charlie why did he carry the ball into the tackle when he had no need 2 something which he does time and time again and never seems to learn from and he coaches kids for a living its also something Egan done all nite and who in my opinion lasted alot longer than he should have don't know why he was so mad when taken off. Martyn was in trouble all nite with Mccann who was the best player on the pitch by a long way.McManus doesn't look the answer at centre back but he deserves another game r 2 in fairness 2 him. Mullen done well in d middle. half forward line was quiet but worked had and marren was the only one of d full forward line dat played well. Murphy is still very young and i have high hopes for him. Very surprised to seem james clarke coming on ahead of McGee although he did kick a great score. Its vital that we bet wexford at home next sunday or else any hope of promotion is over.

Terrible decision by the ref to award Antrim the winning free. Eamon O'Hara is dead right, it's time to get some professional refs and get rid of these terrible refs.

Some positives to take out of the game however - Marren, Brehony and Mcgee seemed sharp up front and Mullen had a good game at midfield. Backs tightened it up a lot in the second half.

Wondering what people reckon about this game. I'm pretty optimistic. We have had the upper hand on Antrim the last few times we have played. I think the full forward line of Coen, Marren & Murphy will do damage.

Its different every year. Its when the county board get to it and when the pre season competitions and league is drawn. Any views on who will walk away with the Senior crown this year? Tourlestrane look like the team to e beaten. Word from the Eastern Harps camp is that the Seniors are having a squad of 24 players named that wont be allowed play Intermediate. So that is them laying out their stall. Curry seem to be falling at the final hurdle te last 3 years. I wouldnt lik o predict.

Based upon where Sligo finished in the Connaught rankings in 2011, htere was always going to be a reaction this year. The FBD & National leagues are a time to make up ground and gear towards the summer. Dont think the leagues count when the data is compiled for the final rankings in 2011.

SLIGO V'S Sligo IT

Decent game yesterday considering the very windy concitions in enniscrone. Some good performances in the defence for sligo with Martyn,Quinn and Cawley doin well. Mullen had a good game in midfield but Egan was poor especially in the 2nd half he gave d ball away alot. No player really stood out up front but i taught Walsh was harsh on on Hynes and Frizzell taking dem off in d first half surley he should be leaving dem on in these games instead of other established players who were just as poor. The sligo players for the IT done well,ross was way to good for young kilcoyne and young kelly from molaise gaels had d better of Coen all day and must have been close 2 a senior call up. Maye,Henry and sweeney done ok but gaughan was very quiet and i was surprised he lasted d full game.

If your serious about joining a club, contact Darragh Cox on 071-9118100 or better still e-mail sport@oceanfm.ie,he coached Calry/st Joseph's to a county championship against the odds last year and to a connacht final, their a few outsiders there too.Naomh Eoin didn't field in the championship last year and lost a lot of players to inter county transfers.End of the day its up to you to decide!!!!
