We congratulate our boys U14 footballers who lifted the A1 championship title for 2017 at Scarden last Thursday evening with an emphatic 6-10 to 4-2 win over Tourlestrane. All roads lead to Markievicz Park this Saturday for the for the Sligo ladies intermediate football final between Drumcliffe/Rosses Point and St Mary's. Throw-in is at 2pm and the game will be streamed live on the Sligo LGFA youtube channel. This is a significant occasion for our young intermediate team. DRP are bidding to win the county title for the first time since 2011. We would encourage as many supporters as possible to come along and cheer on the girls at Markievicz Park on Saturday.

Our girls U12 footballers produced a gutsy display in their 'A' championship final last Saturday in Cloonacool before going down to a fine CT Gaels side. The team under the guidance of Frank Moylan, Trevor Ferguson and John Hester, can take plenty of encouragement from a terrific run in the competition.

Our senior men's footballers are preparing for their championship relegation play-off against St Molaise Gaels in a couple of weeks time. Before that, 10 members of the DRP panel will be taking part in the Kilmacud All-Ireland football sevens in Dublin this Saturday 16th. It's the club's first time to take part in this prestigious sevens competition which is an integral part of the All-Ireland football final weekend. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more on this.

Well done to the four Benbulben Gaels U12 hurlers who, under the guidance of their coach Declan O'Brien, finished runners-up in the Sligo GAA hurling skills finals at Scarden last Friday evening. Conor Keaney, Matthew Percy, Donnchadh O'Brien & Micheal Carroll will be one of two clubs to represent Sligo in the Connacht skills finals in the coming weeks.

Our U14 hurlers, who've already qualified for the county final, beat Naomh Eoin in the championship last Tuesday. The previous evening, our U16s lost narrowly to the same opposition by 5-7 to 3-9.

Good luck to our boys U16 footballers who play St Mary's in a championship play-off on Monday evening in Scarden (note change of venue) at 6:15pm.

Congratulations to Eoghan Smith who was part of the Sligo county side which beat Mayo last Friday evening to win the Ted Webb Shield for 2017.

Our U13 footballers begin their Féile league campaign this Tuesday evening away to Shamrock Gaels at 6:15pm.
