Tourlestrane club notes

Well done to our U-21 team who recorded their first win of the U-21 campaign with a comprehensive win over Curry on Sunday in Tourlestrane. They play St. Mary's in the next round on Sunday the 23rd of October at 2pm in Kent Park.

 

Our Senior Hurlers secured a place in the Dermot Molloy League Final on Saturday night following a 8-11 to 3-12 win over Naomh Eoin.

 

Best of luck to our Minor Ladies team who play in the B Championship Final this Sunday the 23rd of October at 11am in Enniscrone. 

 

The Connacht Club Championship has been postponed by a week to allow the Mayo Club Championship to be played. Tourlestrane will face the Mayo Club Champions on the weekend of the 5th/6th of November in Markievicz Park. 

 

Best of luck to Eamonn O'Hara, David Durkin and former club man, Con O'Meara who represent Sligo on the Ireland Masters team to compete in the International Compromised Rules test this Wednesday in Galway. Eamonn has been named vice-captain of the team.  

 

Singer, Derek Ryan plays as a Sligo Ladies fundraiser on the 20th of October in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone. Doors open at 7pm with the singer taking to the stage at 8pm. Tickets are €20 and are on sale through Maureen Walsh. (087 919 6032) The club has to sell a number of these tickets so if anyone is interested in the event, please contact Maureen as soon as possible, 

 

The club would like to offer its sincere condolences to the McGee Family, Tubbercurry on the death of Frank McGee. Frank was very involved with the Tubbercurry GAA Club and his son Colm managed many of our club underage players in St. Attracta's CS. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
