Minor

All roads lead to Markievicz Park next Friday evening (September 16th) when the Enniscrone-Easkey minor team contest the Minor A1 Championship final against Owenmore Gaels from 6pm. This promises to be a cracking encounter and all support for this historic occasion is welcome as our two clubs combine in an effort to create a small bit of history. Best wishes to the players and management for the big game.

U-14

With our minor boys looking to win a county title this week, our U-14s did just that last Thursday evening when they captured the B2 Championship title courtesy of a fantastic 8-12 to 4-8 final defeat of St John's at Scarden. One point ahead at the break, the lads put in a superb second half to run out deserving winners. This group has worked extremely hard all year and the title is just rewards for them having missed out narrowly at previous age groups. Well done to the management team of John Paul Carden, Brian Coleman and Padraic Byron. The triumphant squad included: Jason Wall, Michael Kilcullen, Tommy Quinn, Kenneth Mulrooney, Lee Tuffy, Robert Hannon, Oisin Hynes, Sean Quinn, Daniel O'Boyle, Dara Tuffy, Josh Battle, Brian Duffy, Joseph Martin, Gavin Duffy, Evan Walsh, Michael Tuffy, Oliver Olejicak, Ethan Carden, Oisin Hannon.

U-13

For some of the U-14 squad the year is not yet over, however, as the U-13 Feile competition begins on Tuesday evening with an away fixture against St Farnan's from 6.30pm. Best wishes to everyone involved for the coming weeks.

U-6/U-8/U-10

There was an enjoyable morning for our youngest players in Castleconnor last Saturday for one of their final blitzes against their west Sligo neighbours. There has been a lot of work ongoing at the younger age groups in recent years and given their performances throughout the year, plus the numbers we have, the future certainly looks bright. Their year will come to a close next weekend with a final blitz in Quigabar.

Surf and Turf 2016

We're delighted to announce that the annual Surf and Turf run is back again for 2016 on Saturday, October 29th (bank holiday weekend). This event, over five kilometres, is fast becoming a staple of the autumnal calendar across the west Sligo and north Mayo areas and we look forward to another fantastic day again this year filled with obstacles, bog and plenty of fun! More details will follow in the coming weeks, but for now get training!

Best wishes

The club wishes everyone at Eoghan Rua the very best of luck this Saturday as they go in search of an intermediate title when they play St Mary's on Saturday afternoon at Markievicz Park. Congratulations to the club's U-12 side who claimed their championship title last Saturday.

Blotto

The blotto draw continues every Saturday night, with next week's jackpot set at €2900. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
