Sligo minor manager David Cummins is happy with his charges preparations for the Connacht MFC opener against Roscommon on June 25th.

The Yeats County have played a number of challenge matches in preparation for the clash and Cummins feels that they are in the right frame of mind for the match.

"Preparations have been going quite well," Cummins told the Sligo Champion. "We played Derry on the 7th (of May), three days later we played Donegal because that's what we are trying to replicate come championship time - if we beat Roscommon we would have to play Galway within four days - and last Saturday we played Cavan.

"What we've been looking for are performances and we have got some fantastic performances from the guys over the last nine days."
