Sligo celebrate

See an interview with Sligo captain Stephanie O'Reilly after winning the 2015 Tesco Homegrown National League Division 3 title in Parnell Park.

O'Reilly sank to her knees at the final whistle when the long wait for a League trophy came to an end. The centre-half-forward is one of only two survivors from the last Sligo team to contest the Final back in 2002 when they lost to Tipperary.

'It's sheer delight, huge emotion. It's great to be rewarded for keeping at, just a brilliant feeling'.

Sligo dug deep to defeat a Waterford team who had beaten them earlier in the League by 23 points and who scored two early goals in the Final to take an eight point lead. Two goals from Katie Walsh helped them win by 2-12 to 2-8 and so claim their first League title since 1995.
