Sligo minors will not play another competitive game for eleven weeks.

The management team are faced with a difficult task of keeping the momentum going following their Connacht Minor football league success last weekend.

Of course, the main reason for the long delay is the start of the Leaving Cert at the beginning of June, but it highlights the difficulties facing management teams at that level.

Sligo will take on Leitrim in the opening round of the Connacht championship and despite the long wait, they will enter the match as favourites.
