Our Senior Hurlers kick started their defense of their Dermot Molloy title on Sunday when they travelled to Kent Park to take on Naomh Eoin. The team put in a great performance with all forwards registering on the score sheet. The team ran out winners on a scoreline of 5-12 to 0-06.

The team take on Western Gaels on Sunday next, April 5th, at 12pm in Tourlestrane.

Our Senior Ladies returned to the field of play on Sunday last when they took on Eastern Harps in the 13 a side warm-up league. Despite fielding a very young team, the ladies battled hard throughout the first half and were unlucky to be 1-03 to 1-01 behind at half time. U-16 player, Molly Kennedy with a great chip of the goalkeeper for the first half goal. Eastern Harps proved too strong for our young team in the second half and ran out easy winners.

The team were due to play Geevagh this Sunday in the first round of the senior league but the game has been postponed on Geevagh's request. The team train on Thursday evening at 7.30pm and all senior players are asked to attend.

Our Senior men have a break in their league campaign but return to action on the 11th of April when they take on St. Mary's in Kent Park.

Our Junior men's football team are continuing to prepare for their season ahead. Their first league game has been fixed for the weekend of the 10th of April but we are still awaiting exact fixtures.

Our U-16 had a tough encounter on Sunday morning when they travelled to Achonry to play Coolaney/Mullinabreen. The game was rightly contested but the home side ran out winners on a score of 1-08 to 1-06. The team play Eastern Harps on this Tuesday, the 31st of March, at home at 7pm.

Our U-14 boys start their league campaign on Wednesday, 1st of April, when they take on Coolaney/Mullinabreena in Nace O'Dowd Park at 6.30pm.

Our Minor boys also start their league campaign this week. The team take on Owenmore Gaels at home on Thursday evening at 6:30pm. We wish Richard Kennedy and his backroom team the best of luck for their league campaign.

Hard luck to Darren Leonard, Liam Gaughan, Rian Kennedy, Richie Lang, Ciaran Walsh, Darren O'Hara and the rest of the Sligo Minor boys team who suffered their first Connacht League defeat at the hands of Roscommon on Saturday last. The team play Longford on Saturday next in round 4 of the league.

Hard luck to Sligo Senior men who lost to Tipperary on a scoreline of 0-15 to 0-13 on Sunday, the team now face Armagh in a 'must win' encounter in Markievicz Park on Sunday at 3pm.

Well done to Katie Walsh, Aisling Egan, Grainne Carty, Paddy Henry and the rest of the Sligo Ladies team and management who beat Tipperary, 4-18 to 1-6, in Markievicz Park on Saturday last in round 6 of the league. The victory over Tipperary has ensured that the team have qualified for the Division 3 league semi final ahead of their final group game against Fermanagh.

Well done to Molly Kennedy who represented the club at half time of the senior ladies game by playing in an exhibition game, lining out for Sligo U-16s.

Congratulations to St Attracta's CS girls U-14 team on winning the Connacht B Championship with a 9-8 to 1-9 win over Glenamaddy. The club was well represented through Leonie Guaghan, Sarah Cunney, Tara Walsh, Catherine Marren, Laura Surlis, Collette Walsh, Katie Molloy, Rebecca O' Hora, Erin Timlin and Shauna Walsh.

Hard luck to Sligo U-14 girls team who were narrowly defeated by Leitrim on Saturday last, Tara Walsh (Captain), Katie Molloy and Catherine Marren all played their part in a game the team were unlucky to lose.

A very successful Banada Teenage Disco was held on Friday last, the 27th of March. The next disco will take place on Friday the 10th of April.
