Sligo manager Niall Carew is adamant that two wins on the trot has gone a long way to restoring confidence in the squad.

Having lost their opening three matches in the Division Three campaign, it was all doom and gloom in the Sligo camp, but wins over Louth and Wexford has reignited their belief.

And Carew told the Sligo Champion that the mood has improved significantly in recent weeks as they prepare to face Tipperary this weekend.

"The lads took a few days off after the Wexford game as they had played three in a row," said Carew. "We were back training on Friday and the lads were back in club action on Sunday in the league and we were hoping the stayed away from picking up any injuries.

"So fingers crossed for this weekend, things are looking good going into it. They have more confidence after the two wins and hopefully we will be able to go down there and get another."
