The O'Byrne Cup and FBD Connacht league finals took centre stage on a busy afternoon of club and county, football and hurling activity.

Holders Kildare hosted Dublin at Newbridge in the O'Byrne decider (2pm), while Roscommon entertained Galway at Kiltoom in the FBD final (2:15).

In Leinster hurling, there were three intriguing Round Three matches in the Walsh Cup (Dublin V Antrim; Laois V Wexford; and Offaly V Galway) as well as four Round Two Kehoe Cup encounters.

And it was also a huge day in the club championship calendar as EIGHT All-Ireland semi-finals went down for decision, with final places up for grabs in the All-Ireland junior football, junior hurling, intermediate football and intermediate hurling championships.
