Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA notes

October 06, 2014

U14
Our u14s qualified for the 'B' Championship final courtesy of a comprehensive 9-15 to 2-8 win over Geevagh at Quigabar last Sunday afternoon. A terrific display from our lads ensured a final spot, with an extremely ruthless second period - in which our boys scored 7-14 with the wind - helping them to victory. Calry/St Joseph's will provide the opposition in the final; a date, time and venue for that fixture was not available at the time of writing.
Date for your diary - we will be hosting the inaugural Enniscrone Surf and Turf run on Saturday, October 25th (bank holiday weekend). This unique event promises to be a terrific day out and teams will compete for a €500 sports voucher, with individual categories also available (men's, ladies, youths). Registration forms can be downloaded online (www.enniscronekilglassgaa.com) or alternatively you can register on the Friday night before the race. More details can be found on our website and Facebook page. Your support is appreciated.
The club presented Kris Gilroy, Kilglass, with a congratulatory piece of silverware at half-time at last Sunday's u14 game in Quigabar. Kris won three medals at the recent Special Olympics in Belgium. Congrats to Kris and his family and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
