Charlie Harrison says that Pat Flanagan should be allowed to bring in his own backroom team if he is to stick around as Sligo senior football manager in 2015.

The Offaly native was a late appointment by the Yeats County last year and the former All-Star defender believes he should be allowed to pick his own selectors for his second year at the helm.

"I'd like to see him get in a couple of more structures around him because he was rushed in at the start," Harrison told the Irish Daily Star.

"He came in late and I suppose he wasn't able to pick his own team.

"I'd like to see him be able to pick his own selectors and his own strength and conditioning coach."
