Kearins enters Hall of Fame

Sligo GAA legend Mickey Kearins was inducted into the Croke Park Hall of Fame recently.

Kearins, who is arguably Sligo's best ever footballer was inducted alongside Kerry legend Mick O'Dwyer, Kilkenny star Noel Skehan and Waterford hurler Pat McGrath.

The Sligo man helped his county to their first Connacht title in 47 years in 1975 and became the first player from the Yeats County receive an All-Star in 1971.

Kearins played for Sligo seniors for an astonishing 18 years and during which time he scored 36 goals and 1,158 points in 215 games.
