This was a very tight game between two evenly matched teams with Adare were being slightly the better and stronger team on the night, at the break the scoreboard read Adare 2-4 to 0-5, in the second half both sides scored the same, they both scored 1-3 with our goal coming from James Molyneaux from penalty, Hard luck to the management team of Maurice McCarthy and Eoin Barry and the panel of players led by Jack Pierce Captain and the best of luck in the County series.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game coming from James Molyneaux from a free and Kenny Lynch from play and then scored the next 1-1 to lead by two points with 9 minutes gone in the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point coming from Ryan Reidy and then Adare scored the next 1-1 of the game to lead by five points with 18 minutes gone in the game. Jack Pierce scored the next point of the for Dromcollogher to leave four points between the sides and then Adare scored the next two points to lead by six points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point coming from James Molyneaux from 45m to leave five points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Adare 2-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5.

This was a very one-sided game with Effin been the much better and stronger team on the night, with effin leading at the break 0-14 to 0-06 and the in the second half Effin scored 1-11 to our 0-11, this loss puts into the regulation final against Tournafulla and the table after five rounds read as follows Glenroe 8 points, Effin and Hospital/ Herbertstown both on 6 points, Granagh/ Ballingarry and St. Patrick’s both on 5 points and Dromcollogher/ Broadford on no points. Damien Lacey scored the first pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then effin replied with coming from Ruairi O’Connor to bring sides back on level terms for the first during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these points came from Denis Donegan and Damien Lacey from a free and then Effin scored the next six points without reply to lead four points with three coming from Jack Quaid and two more coming from Tommy Quaid and the other from Enda Kelly. To our Minor Footballers Management Team led by Maurice McCarthy and our Minor Footballers led by Jack Pierce against Adare, we were defeated by Adare on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-8, in the West Minor A Football Championship Final.

Results of the 354th draw took place on September 2nd, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 4, 10, 27, 29 there was no winner of the jackpot was at €6,300 and there also was one winner of match three at €100 and that was Keith Lacey, Dromcollogher and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: John Walsh, Dromcollogher and Jerome Scanlan, Feohanagh, and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday September 9th, in Foley’s Bar, Broadford and the Jackpot is going up to €6,400 and the match three is staying at €100.
