Sligo captain Kevin McDonnell was wholesome in his praise for dual star Gerard O'Kelly-Lynch.
Having helped Sligo capture the Lory Meagher Cup at Croke Park on Saturday, O'Kelly-Lynch hopped into a car and travelled west to Markievicz Park where he togged out for the county's senior footballers in their SFC qualifier against Armagh.
Despite being introduced as a substitute and playing well, O'Kelly-Lynch and his team mates were unable to secure the victory.
However, McDonnell told the Sligo Champion that turning up for the game was one thing, but O'Kelly-Lynch's attitude was what really impressed the team captain.
"Fair play to him, the guy has some engine on him and you know he's delighted to come down as well, I don't think he even had a shower after the first game," said McDonnell. "Fair play to him and he did a good job when he came in."
