Sligo manager Cathal Corey is looking for a new selector after Aidan Rooney stepped down.
Corey confirmed to Ocean FM that the former Leitrim footballer has left his backroom team after yesterday's Allianz Football League Division 3 defeat to Westmeath in Mullingar. Rooney managed the Sligo minors to a Connacht final appearance in 2015 and also had a spell in charge of Glencar / Manorhamilton.
Meanwhile, star forward Adrian Marren is a doubt for the visit of Longford to Markievicz Park next weekend with a hamstring injury. The corner forward was forced to retire after scoring four points from play in the first half of the 0-14 to 0-20 loss to Westmeath, which leaves the Yeats County with just one win from four and in the relegation mire in Division 3.Tweet
