Dinner Dance

Our Dinner Dance was a fantastic success at the Diamond Coast Hotel last Saturday night. With special guests Joe Canning and Peter Canavan providing excellent entertainment, the large crowd in attendance had a most enjoyable evening. Congratulations to our individual award winners on the night: Hall of Fame inductee was Gerry Boland, Club Person of the Year was Billy Varley while Donal Mullaney received the Player of the Year award. Congratulations too to our U-16s and the Intermediate team on receiving their medals for their 2017 successes. The club also presented Marty Duffy with a special award to mark his retirement from refereeing after a highly successful career. A special thanks to our guests Joe Canning and Peter Canavan for their attendance; both are a thorough gentlemen and were very accessible to young and old on the night for pictures and a chat. Thank you to the Diamond Coast Hotel for their excellent hospitality once again this year.

Well done to Dara Rouse, Adam Mullaney and Gavin Duffy who helped Sligo to a 3-7 to 1-5 win over Tyrone in a minor challenge game at Quigabar last Saturday afternoon. Michael Duffy is manager of the county minor team in 2018.
