Pearses club notes
The Football Board AGM will take place on Saturday 6th December in the clubhouse at 7pm sharp; the Minor Football AGM will follow this on the same night.

Roscommon Scor finals
The County semi-finals of Scór na nÓg took place last weekend in Ballyleague Community Centre and the following have qualified for the County Final, which takes place in Elphin Community and Sports Centre on January 11th.

Season ticket introduced
The GAA has launched a reduced price season ticket for the 2009 season which would offer purchasers a chance to buy an All-Ireland final ticket should their county reach a decider.

Kilmore GAA Club Notes
The minor club held a very successful and enjoyable sponsored walk on Saturday morning. The young players that raised the money and completed the walk are a credit and should be very proud of themselves.

Éire Óg notes
Our AGM takes place this Saturday, December 6th at 6pm in Loughglynn Community Centre. All club members are asked to attend. The draw for the ’one year lotto members’ who have subscribed to our club lotto will take place on Saturday December 13th.

McConn departs Rossies
Roscommon are seeking a new hurling manager following Derek McConn’s decision to step down after two years at the helm.

Rossies plan for future
The Roscommon GAA County Board are at an advanced stage in purchasing a 53-acre site with a view to developing a centre of excellence.

Wynne wants stability
Roscommon minor manager Gary Wynne has called on the Connacht Council to finally settle on a format for the provincial campaign, which has yet again being changed for 2009.

Cunningham goes out on high
St Brigid’s manager Anthony Cunningham has admitted that he has had three great years in charge of the side as the former All-Ireland winner ended his term on a high.

National league fixtures announced
The GAA has confirmed that following a meeting of it’s Central Council that the fixtures for the Allianz GAA Football and Hurling National Leagues have been confirmed.

Connacht dates and venues confirmed
The dates and venues for next year’s Connacht senior football championship ties have been released.

Scór update
This week is another very busy week for Scór. On Wednesday night, at 8:30pm, an important meeting of Coiste Scór Ros Comáin will take place in the County Board Offices, Castle View Roscommon.

Pearses Senior Footballers lost out to St Brigids in this year’s League Final in a cold and windy Kiltoom last Sunday.

Connacht club JFC: Killala ease to title success
Mayo champions Killala were crowned Connacht club junior football champions following a comfortable victory over Roscommon’s Kilglass Gaels at Dr Hyde Park.

Kilmore GAA Club Notes
The football came to an end for 2008 at the weekend in disappointing fashion. The club are disappointed at the treatment of the under 21 team and in the organising of the under 21 competition in general.

The row over the ownership of Dr Hyde Park remains unresolved as all parties concerned are due to sit down and discuss the matter over the coming days.

Sports Minister Martin Cullen has admitted that the GAA players’ grants scheme could be scrapped after just one year.

Scór update November
The final two county quarter-finals of Scor na nOg, took place last weekend. Ballyforan Community Centre was the venue for the third quarter-final on Friday night last and the following competitors will now compete in the first County Semi-Final, which takes place in Ballyleague Community Centre on Friday November 28th.

Kilmore GAA Club Notes
The Hillstreet Quarries sponsored U-21 team are due to play the re-fixed game against Kilbride this weekend, please check fixtures for time and day. The club wishes Kilglass Gaels the best of luck in the Connaught junior final this weekend.

Eire Og club notes
The under-21’s clash with St. Croan’s did not go ahead at the weekend. However as a result of Strokestown’s draw with Boyle on Saturday, our side’s hopes of progress in the competition have gone. It’s unclear at the time of writing if our outstanding fixture with Croan’s will be played or not.
