This week is all about recovery for Mayo manager Stephen Rochford and his charges as they prepare for the All-Ireland SFC quarterfinal.

Facing them are Connacht champions Roscommon who surprised Galway in the provincial decider to claim the title and they have been well rested ahead of the clash in Croke Park on Sunday.

On the other hand Mayo, have been quite busy and the fact that they needed extra time to see off the challenge of Cork last weekend was not ideal.

However, Rochford stressed to the Western People that this week was all about recharging the batteries ahead of the trip to Jones Road.

"We'll tailor our training this week to meet that but I feel the lads are in good condition, so the big challenge now for the medical team and the S&C team is recovery," said Rochford.

"We've got to be a lot more effective at the weekend. We're coming up against a confident bunch. We've got a massive challenge. The preparations started straight away with recovery."
