Michael Glaveys club notes

Our Intermediate Mens team had a good win against Eire Og in the O'Gara cup on Sunday last. The final score read 1-13 to 0-13. Speedy recovery to Stephen Comer who sustained an injury in this match.

 

Our Junior team were defeated in the Division 5 league by St.Faithleach's on a scoreline of  0-15 to 0-10. They Juniors have a Championship game against Oran in Rockfield,Oran on Saturday next May 28th at 7.30pm.

 

They Under 14 boys team play St.Aidan's on Sunday evening May 28th in the Division 3 league semi final in Fuerty at 6pm. They winners of this game will meet Kilglass Gls / St.Barrys in the final.

 

Our Under 12 boys play St.Faithleach's in Ballyleague at 12pm on Saturday next May 27th.  

 

Hard luck to our U-14 Girls Team & Management on their loss in their 1st League Round at home this evening V Shannon Gaels.Glaveys Abu.Well done on great effort put in by the Team to the Final whistle.

 

The  ABC Nursery Training Programme continues this week again for Gaelic Football Skills for Under 6 Boys & Girls (ages 4,5, & 6 year olds are welcome to attend ) takes place on Wed 24th of May from 6pm to 7pm in Michael Glaveys Community Complex.

 

This is a wonderful Programme which introduces our young people to all sorts of football & agility skills.It is an extremely enjoyable event.It will be run on the following Wednesday evenings-17th,24th May 6-7pm in the Club Complex.

After a short break, another 4 sessions will resume during the summer months.

 

The clubs rounders team hold a fundraising BBQ on Sautrday 25th May in The Tap, Ballinlough at 8p.m. with Music from 10 p.m. Raffle and spot prizes on the night,

 

The social Initiative of the GAA are having their annual outing on Saturday June17th to Croke park and the Guinness Brewery.All in cost is 50 euro which includes Tea/Scones and Dinner.Coach leaves at 7.30am.

Well done to Joanne Cregg who was part of the Connacht Interprovincial Team and to Francie Keane who was part of the management team who participated in national the tournament over the weekend.

Fixtures & Results:

Our Intermediate Men's team had a another good win against Tulsk in the Championship.The final score read 2-13 to 0-11.(See Match Report) 

Their next game is against Eire Og in the O'gara cup division 2 league next Sunday at 2pm in Ballinlough.

 

The Under 14 boys team defeated Oran on a scoreline of 8-13 to 7-06,The team have now qualified for the semi final of the league and also have one outstanding game to play in the league against St Aidans yet TBC. 

 

Our minor team were defeated by St.Croans in the division 4 league on a scoreline of 7-10 to 3-15.

 

Our Junior team play St.Faithleach's on Friday evening in Ballinlough at 8pm.
