Leitrim captain Gary Reynolds has called on the county's supporters to become the 'extra man' for Sunday's Connacht SFC clash against Roscommon at Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.

The Rossies are overwhelming favourites to advance to the provincial semi-final as it is a Division One team versus a Division Four outfit.

However, New York's display against Roscommon last time out has given hope to Leitrim that they can cause an upset.

And Reynolds stresses in the Leitrim Observer that the crowd could help them achieve their goal if they turn out in their droves.

"It is fairly evident that when our league run was going poorly, we did have poor turnouts and I'd just urge them, Roscommon are coming to town, we need them," said Reynolds.

"And I know that when it comes down to it, Leitrim supporters really do get behind us and we are going to need them on Sunday."
