Senior Team

Our King & Moffat sponsored senior team had a mighty win on Sunday last when we defeated Western Gaels in Frenchpark 2-11 to 1-11. This was our 2nd win of the senior league and the team was as follows Ollie Burke, Mark Connellan, Damien Tiernan, Liam Caslin, Gary Connellan, Colm Garvey (0-1), Kevin Caslin, Dermot Foley (0-2), Paul McElhone, Cathal Carney, Derek Connellan (0-4), John Donohue, Ray Caslin, Paul Garvey (2-3), Dara Feely (0-1). Subs used Paul McElhone. Our next senior game is in the league this Sunday at 2pm in Kilmore when we host Padraig Pearses. Our 1st round of the championship has also been fixed for Saturday the 7th of May when we travel to Castlerea to play Oran at 5.30pm.

 

Club Draw

Our annual €100 club draw tickets are now on sale. One entry to the draw costs €50 or 3 for €100. Tickets are on sale from the usual sellers and your support would be appreciated. The 1st draw with a top prize of €1,000 will take place on Saturday the 7th of May in Hillstreet after our Championship game.

 

Club Rossie

Club Rossie tickets are also on sale. Gold tickets cost €228 or bronze tickets cost €100. Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket contact Brian 0872420896 or Jenny 0860779493. The draw takes place on the 14th of May 2016.

 

Minor Club

Our minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels drew with St Ciarans on Tuesday evening and were narrowly defeated by Roscommon Gaels on Wednesday evening. Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels defeated Elphin/Ballinameen on Thursday evening. Our U-12 team had a great 2 point win over St Brigids on Sunday last. Our U-16 team play St Ciarans on Tuesday evening at 7pm in Kilmore in a league semi final play off. Our U-14 team play St Michaels on Thursday evening at 7pm in Kilmore. Our minor team play Tulsk in Tulsk on Friday evening at 7pm. Our U-12 team are back in action this Saturday at 5pm when they take on Kilglass Gaels in Kilmore.

 

 

Golf Society

Kilmore Gaa golf society outing to the Slieve Russell takes place this Saturday at 12 midday. Green fee €40. RSVP to Gary Vesey 086 8986340 By Thursday.

 

Other News

This weeks 50/50 draw takes place in the Silver Eel pub this Sunday night at 10pm. Trevor Hunts team are on selling duty. Envelopes are on sale throughout the parish. Kilmore GAA will be doing Strictly Come dancing on Friday the 21st of October. Spread the word and put the date in your diary. An executive meeting of Kilmore GAA will take place this Wednesday night at 9pm in the Clubrooms. Kilmore GAA wishes our Children's officer Mary Donohue a speedy recovery from her illness. The club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Bridget Glancy, Cloonfad who passed away at the weekend.
