Shannon Gaels club notes

Our U12 boys played St. Barrys last Saturday in final in Elphin and just lost out by the kick of a ball.  Thank you to all the players and management who done so well over the last year.  Team: J.Keenehan, P. Our Junior mens team play St. Brigids B in Hodson Bay Junior A championship final next Sunday.  We would encourage everyone in the parish to put up club colours and come out next Sunday to support these lads. Check fixtures for time and venue.

Ladies:

Pride of place goes to our u14 team as they defeated Roscommon Gaels in the Div 2B county final in a sunny if somewhat windy ballyleague on Sunday.  Congratulations goes to Alan, Charlie John and Tracey for all the hard work with this great team all year.  They were helped along the way by Yvonne and Carmel and first aid was provided at matches by Geraldine.  We would like to thank our sponsors for their contributions to the team - North West Livestock Improvement Committee,  AIB , Carrick & DNG O'callaghan Creggs.
Thanks to Cryans hotel for accommodating us again with food, to Chris for all the photos, to parents for bringing girls to training and matches and to supporters for travelling to final and all matches throughout the year.

The intermediate ladies had a comprehensive win over St Francis in Fenagh also on Sunday.  They are now through to Connaught semi final which will be played next Saturday.  Time and venue to be confirmed. Get well wishes to Emma who got  hurt during match,but we know you'll be back in action next week.

Deepest Sympathy is sent to Geraldine Colleran on sad passing of her mother and to Caolaoin O'Flynm on the death of her grandmother.  Ar dheis de go riamh..........
