Champs look set to progress

September 18, 2015

The Roscommon senior hurling championship semi-finals take place this weekend.

Both games will be played as part of a doubleheader and they are two interesting ties in store.

First up is the meeting of Four Roads and Athleague. The defending champions have yet to hit top form this year, while Athleague have looked steady throughout the campaign.

It is a tough game to call, but Four Roads always seem to lift their game when most needed and they should progress.

In the second semi-final, Padraig Pearses take on Oran. The former are like Four Roads in that they have yet to hit top form, while Oran have improved as the campaign has gone on.

However, Padraig Pearses have quality in depth and they are tipped to advance to the decider.
