Roscommon GAA clubs will have their say on the future of senior manager John Evans at tonight's (Wednesday) county board meeting.

The Roscommon County Board have already gave their backing to the Kerry native for another year as manager, but following their failure to reach this year's Connacht final, there is speculation that some clubs will not be in favour of retaining Evans' services.

Despite winning back to back promotions in the league and plying their trade in the Division One of the NFL next year, the Rossies failure to make an impression in the championship saw their campaign end in bitter disappointment.

Roscommon did beat Cavan in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers, but the defeat to Fermanagh in the next round, aligned with the defeat to Sligo in the provincial semi-final have left many questioning Evans' role.

However, the former Tipperary manager is sure to get the backing of the majority of clubs for one more year at least.
