Senior Team

Hard luck to our Murtaghs bar sponsored Senior team who were defeated on Sunday last in Strokestown by Boyle. Next up is a derby match against Strokestown in Kilglass on this Saturday evening at 7pm, please come out and support the team.

Underage

Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon gaels made it 3 wins on the trot on Thursday evening last when they had a mighty 3-15 to 4-9 win over Kilbride in the Championship, well done to all involved. Our minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels also had a mighty win over St Ciarans on Wednesday evening last on a scoreline of 4-8 to 2-7 in the Division 1 championship. Next up for our minors is a trip to Kiltoom on this Tuesday the 11th of August to play St Brigids in the Minor Championship.

 

End of Summer BBQ

Kilmore GAA will hold their 1st Annual End of Summer BBQ on Sunday the 23rd of Augsut in the Kilmore Inn. Music will get underway at 8pm with the mighty Alan Clarke followed by a DJ with music till late. Also on the night there will be a mini auction with brilliant prizes and lots of food. This is a night not to be missed!!

Other News

Our Last Man Standing got underway last Saturday with 217 competitors going to post. As of Monday morning we have lost 163 players thanks mostly to Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea failing to win. All selection details are on www.kilmoregaa.ie  Kilmore GAA would like to thank each player who made the effort to sell Last Man Standing Tickets. This weeks 50/50 draw takes place this Sunday night in Earleys Hillstreet at 10.30pm with Brian Carrolls team in charge of selling this week. Envelopes cost just €2 each or 3 for €5. Kilmore GAA would like to thank everyone who helped out in anyway with the hosting of the Strokestown/Elphin game on Saturday evening. Thanks to everyone who done stewarding, sold tickets and helped out in anyway. Kilmore GAA would like to congratulate Karl Foley & Emma Conlon and also Lisa Garvey and Ciaran Goldrick who got engaged over the weekend. We also offer our sympathy to Ann Sheridan, Ballagh on the recent death of her uncle Sean Brennan.
